Corporate and legal succession

Many of our clients are family-run or family-owned businesses where the second or even third generation keeps turning to us for advice. Consequently, corporate succession is a key topic that links up to many of the legal areas we work in. Years ahead of any actual transfer of ownership we provide services to family businesses to ensure successful transition, often collaborating with business and HR consulting partners at this early stage. In cases where a business is not transferred to a family member, we will jointly look for a suitable alternative approach. Advice in terms of the law of inheritance or succession is a natural part of the process, as, ultimately, those who inherit a business must be able to take a successful business idea forward into the future.
